A lot of interesting details makes this a unique page

The top and bottom left corners are made up of stamped
images on square cardstock.
The top strip was stamped on white cardstock.
The butterflies were done a cuttlebug
The photo is matted on corrugated cardstock.
The words "family" was stamped on squares and then matted and
mounted on ribbon.

Buttons, ribbon, leaves, repeats of stamped images were used.

The envelope on the left is really neat.

Note the small piece of corrugated cardstock on the top right

corner carried through from the previous page.

The sunglasses were cut and matted in two different colours and

decorated with brads and gems.

Double and even triple mat your photos for effect.

Sometimes a simple title can be all the journaling you need.

Rub-ons are always a great way to embellish a page.

The photo on the right was double-matted and ribbons were

folded between the two mats.

Using these word cut-outs just adds to the journaling. Some were
raised with foam-core for a bit of depth.

Girl Time

We used lots of layering of different pattern paper for this page.

Because you use so many different papers ( you can even use your

offcuts) you really dont need many embellishments.

The orange striped paper used here came with the cut-out motiffs
but you can use a stencil or freeform cutting to achieve the same effect.

Brads,Tags,envelopes and a few flowers were used as embellishments.

The frame and bracket symbols were cut in chipboard.

You Rock - Guitar

We had so much fun creating this piece. Paint,stamps and rub-ons were used on this wooden guitar.
Perfect gift for a girl or boys room whether they play guitar or not. Funky and fun!

Flower rub-ons were used and then to add dimension a paper flower was used on top of the rub-ons.

This saying was stamped with gold paint and a cutlebug die was used for the butterfly.

Ribbon was used to represent the strings.

The photo was printed on a transparency and matted on white cardstock.

The hearts were made using a cuttlebug machine.

Here we matted a pocket on brown cardstock and slipped the photos in the pocket.

Great way to use several photos in one space.

We cut the paper and folded back the edges to make this frame.

This very cute card was made from scraps of cardstock and patterned paper, and embellished with odd ribbons and buttons. The sentiment on the outside tag and on the insert can be changed to suit the occasion. This card is so darn cute it doesn't even need an envelope! Have fun and play nicely!

A Beautiful Picture Tag

This is another tag that I've created using the "Keys" stamp set. I've had so much fun with inks while creating this tag.

Here are the steps.

1) Use a cardboard as the base for this tag. I've actually recycled an old clothes tag to create this tag. Distress it's edges using the scissors distressing technique and ink all over it with distress ink.

2) Cut a rectangular piece from a white card stock and layer a small piece of pattern paper on it's lower left corner. Stamp on it's left border with the "hinge" stamp and black solvent ink. Stamp again on it's top using a "compass" stamp and distress ink. To colour this piece, use the "Crayon Resist" technique and distress it using the water distressing technique. Then, further distress it's edges using the scissors distressing technique and ink it with distress ink. Add it to the tag. Add a brad to the compass and highlight the "hinge" image with a gold pen.

3) I've added some stamps that I've collected to it and ink them a little with distress ink to create that distress look.

4) Stamp the "key" onto black card stock using perfect medium and dust over the image with some perfect pearls. Set it with a mist of water and let it dry. Cut it out and highlight it with a gold pen. Add it to the tag with a brad and a small metal charm.

5) Punch some holes on the left border of the tag and do some twine threading.

6) I've painted a paper clip/holder with some alcohol ink and add it to the tag.

7) Punch a hole on the top of the tag and add an eyelet to it. Tie a rope to it and add a pin with the title of the tag to it.
Hope you all like this little tag and start having some fun with more inks and stamping.

Santa.s List ATC

Santa's List ATC

This is a little fun ATC that I've created lately. I know it's a little too early for Christmas but each of us can always have a little Christmas in our heart throughout the year. I've used Clear Scraps acrylic ATC to create this.

Below are the steps to it.

1) Use a Clear Scraps acrylic ATC as the base for this ATC. Cover two third of the acrylic ATC from the back using a pattern paper.

2) Stamp on top of the ATC using an angel stamp and some black solvent ink. Dress it up with Stickles.

3) Stamp another image (boy and tree) using black solvent ink on a white cardstock. Ink the image with some distress ink and use "Water Distressing" technique on it. Add it to the ATC and detail it with Stickles and a star.

4) Add a strip of lace, flowers and crystals on the left of the ATC.

5) Print out a santa's image from the computer and cut it out. Ink it's edges with distress ink and add it to the ATC with some foam adhesives. Dress it up with some Stickles.

6) Use a label maker and some cardstock to create the word "List" and add it to a felt tag. Detail it with liquid pearls.

A really simple but effective layout using ric-rac and flowers with a difference.

Scrapping - Heaven Sent

This baby page layout can easily be adapted to suit almost any photos.

On this page we used a "bleach" stamping technique which is a fun and easy way to use your foam stamps.

Paint or dip your stamp using normal household bleach, immediately stamp onto your cardstock. You will notice the "bleached" effect it creates. Be sure to rinse your stamps immediately after use

We used this technique on 5 different size cirlces which we used for parts of our mattting and even as embellishement on its own.

Here we matted our paper onto a piece of cardstock and added fibre,buttons,words and a tag to create our own embellishment.

Note how we used one of our circles partially under our photo mat with ribbon under the circle - the stamped image shows up nicely to give almost an antique look.

We used a few different ribbons which are glued quite flat onto the page and then added buttons,washer,flower and the heart which is attached again to one of our circles.

I dont know about you but I much prefer using bleach in this way than what it's originally meant for.

Canvas Art

Working on canvas is such fun and a great way to use many techniques used in scrapbooking,stamping and painting.

On this canvas we started by painting the entire canvas with a linen colour craft paint. Once dry we glued a page from an old encyclopedia onto the canvas.
We then used a stamp with squares and stamped using a bronze paint on the top half of the canvas and over the newsprint.

Using green craft paint and two different font stamps we stamped the word LIVE.

We sprayed diluted walnut ink using a spray bottle all over the canvas. Once the ink was dry we resprayed certain areas to create a distressed look.

We sparingly used gold leaf to highlight some of the stamped blocks

A friend of mine who does framing gave me some of her off-cuts which i used to create this corner embellishment

Using a piercer we gently pierced holes through the canvas and tied our ribbon bows.
The feather,leaves and photo were the final elements to add to finish off our creation.

We hope you enjoy trying your hand at creating a canvas.

Beading - Turquoise necklace

This necklace was created using silver findings and a few pearls in between to give a lovely classic look.
The pendant was done using chain and a headpin to attach the bead. Small charms were attached with jump rings.
